"A community can be judged by how they treat the neediest in their group. We should be proud of how we've addressed the needs of people with disabilities in our community."

I just came across this website and want to share my memories of the UCPC of Roosevelt.  My brother Ralph Mauro graduated 1975 from the Roosevelt School and Dr. Lombardi was the Director at the time.  If it weren’t for all the support, love and guidance he received while at the Roosevelt school - he would never had made it to Delhi University and then Cortland University.  Thank you Roosevelt for all you did for my brother starting at the young age of 5 for speech and occupational therapy, camper at Green Twigs and then a counselor for Green Twigs.  It was a wonderful experience for him and the family.

Just wanted to say how happy I am to be part of such a great organization that not only cares deeply about the individuals that it serves but, also for it’s hard working, caring, employees. When people ask me where I work, I proudly tell them UCPN even though I am very new to the agency. Everyone I have met so far has been amazing and it’s wonderful to know that even though this world can seem terrible and harsh at times, that there are so many people who can be selfless and that gives me hope for humanity.
