Would you like to witness, first hand, one of the greatest acts to ever grace the stages of Las Vegas and never leave Long Island? On Sunday, October 24th at 3pm, you will have that opportunity as The Nassau Pops Symphony Orchestra presents its Live Vegas Revue starring Martin Preston as Liberace.
Martin will present many of Liberace’s stunning arrangements that brought Vegas audiences to their feet, complete will four dazzling costume changes and, of course, his trademark candelabra. Joining Martin on stage will be the JC Lynn Dancers, twenty-four of the most beautiful high-kicking young ladies to ever grace the stage of the Tilles Center. This will be a show you definitely will not want to miss, and it is all for the benefit of United Cerebral Palsy of Nassau County.
Our concert would not be complete without the ucpn’s popular singing group Creation. They will again take center stage for several numbers that will surely bring the house down. You can be sure to count on some other surprises as well, which will include a performance by The Nassau Pops’ version of the legendary Rat Pack.
Through the generosity of private donors and help from corporate Long Island, every dollar from every ticket sold will be donated to United Cerebral Palsy of Nassau County.
General Admission price is $30 per person. For tickets, call the Tilles Box office at 516-299-3100. Contact ucpn at 516-378-2000 ext 651

The Chairpeople of the event, Joe Mandaro and Kathy Wilson, along with their dedicated committee are organizing an evening of fun, food and entertainment to be enjoyed by all. The spectacular Chateau Briand provides truly elegant atmosphere and comfortable setting for all guests to enjoy their sampling fare throughout the evening..
In keeping with the Scotto Brothers tradition of creating one-of-a-kind locations, they have once again “Set the Standard” by going above and beyond with the creation of the Chateau’s multi-million dollar Outdoor Oasis. Weather permitting, Taste & Toast the Town guests will stroll in between swaying palm trees, relax on over-sized seating pit groups enjoying the delights and beverages from a myriad of restaurants, bakeries and wine and spirits establishments while helping to raise significant funds for ucpn. Guests can chat in front of our colossal fire pit or unwind in the pavilion that comes complete with paddle ceiling fans and communal seating arrangements.

Distinguished judges for the competition will include members of the American Culinary Federation – Long Island.
The ucpn is very grateful to all the participating food and spirits establishments and to the event sponsors for making this evening so enjoyable.

The ucpn Development Department sends trivia tests to teachers throughout Nassau County who then administer them to their students. Participating students, in teams of four, take the 100-question Trivia Challengesm written test. It covers a wide variety of subjects from academics to popular culture. The test takes approximately 45 minutes to complete and can be administered any time starting in October through the beginning of February. Students raise money for ucpn by asking their family and friends to sponsor them to take the test and we offer students many exciting fundraising prizes. The highest scoring team from each school is then invited to compete in the county-wide Trivia Challenge Championship held at our agency. The winning team on each level receives the Trivia Challenge trophy to display in their school for a year.
February 22 – 3rd & 4th grade
February 23 – 5th & 6th grade
February 24 – 7th & 8th grade

This year we are very excited to be producing a new online journal. The online journal offers increased exposure, both online and at the event. The online journal is available for viewing for an entire year; this includes a year-long link to your company website! At the Ball, the online journal is presented as an elegant, full-color, full-sized slide show display of all journal ads and honoree acknowledgements. The presentation will appear continuously throughout the evening on large screens visible to all. The frequency with which each ad appears is proportionate to its donation level, ensuring that ads are seen by all in attendance. Also, all journal participants will be listed in a “Scroll of Honor” in the Ball program given out that evening as a permanent listing of your generosity and support. Journal ads may be purchased and submitted online at www.ForgetMeNotBall.org. All ads must be received by October 23rd.
