Trivia Challenge

Schools from all over Nassau County participated in the year round Trivia Challenge event and raised significant funds for ucpn.  Now in its 26th year, the Trivia Challenge event brings students with great minds and good hearts together to help raise funds to benefit the programs and services ucpn provides for over 1,800 children and adults with cerebral palsy and other developmental disabilities.  We are proud to say that this is our most successful fundraiser for ucpn thanks to the students, parents, teachers and administrators who support us.

For those of you who do not know about Trivia Challenge, it is a fundraising event for students throughout Nassau County in grades 3 – 12.  Students are grouped in teams to take the 100-question test provided by ucpn and are sponsored by family and friends for each correct answer or by a flat donation.

The Championship round of Trivia Challenge was held at ucpn on February 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th.  It was exciting to say the least. Parents, siblings, fellow classmates, teachers and administrators attended and cheered on their school’s winning team to compete for the trophy cup.  NEFCU sponsored the event once again, making it their third year in a row.  Representatives from NEFCU were in attendance and spoke about the benefits they provide to all Long Islanders.  We greatly appreciate their continued support.

The pictures from the event have been posted on ucpn’s Trivia Challenge event page. Please visit http://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/ucpnTriviaChallenge .  Look out for pictures of the winning teams in your local papers as well.

Thank you to all for your dedication and support of ucpn! We look forward to seeing you next year.  For more information on the Trivia Challenge event, contact Michelle Gevirtz at or 516-378-2000 x351.
