"A community can be judged by how they treat the neediest in their group. We should be proud of how we've addressed the needs of people with disabilities in our community."
- Bob McGuire, Executive Director
The Council of Auxiliaries is celebrating its 61st year of service to the United Cerebral Palsy Association of Nassau County, Inc. (ucpn). We have a dedicated group of volunteers in our local communities determined to raise the funds needed to help our children & adults with cerebral palsy and other developmental disabilities, reach their full potential. These funds are raised by hosting fashion shows, dinner dances, Chinese auctions and other fun events. In addition to fundraising, our goal is to reach out and educate the community about the programs and services offered at ucpn.
Please help us by getting involved with an Auxiliary in your area and share in the joy that we have experienced for the past 61 years.
If you would like to contribute your talents or your time to a wonderful organization, please do not hesitate to attend one of our monthly meetings. As volunteers, we do make a difference and it certainly shows on the many smiling faces that we come upon while at ucpn.
We have many events to look forward to in the coming year, especially our Fashion Fantasy being held at the beautiful Carltun, in East Meadow, on October 19th.
For additional information please call the Council Office at (516) 378-2000, ext. 220. Thank you for your interest in ucpn.
