Kim Berk, Kurt Murgo, Pat Quinn and Vincent Russo on the set of "Family Comes First" at Telecare

Kiara's mom, Mrs. English with Vincent J. Russo

Kiara English, CLC Student Featured in New Telecare Program Series

Hosted by Kim Berk and Vincent J. Russo

A new four-part television series that premieres exclusively on Telecare chronicles Kiara English, a young woman who has been a student at the Children’s Learning Center (CLC) since she was 2 years old and now, at age 21, is a proud member of the graduating class of 2008.  Kiara is a delightful young lady filled with enthusiasm for her studies and love for her family and friends and for the people who help her at CLC on a daily basis.  Her joy and zest for life is contagious and her determination and positive outlook is inspiring.

The series titled, “Family Comes First,” is hosted by Kim Berk of KJOY-FM’s “Jim and Kim Morning Show” and Vincent J. Russo.  Mr. Russo brings over 20 years of experience to the series as an attorney and advocate for seniors, children and adults with special needs.

The series focuses on the challenges real-life families are facing and offers practical information about programs and services that can provide solutions.   The Telecare film crew visited the ucpn and the CLC and filmed Kiara on location with fellow students and interviewed faculty and staff members including Diana Pannullo, Alicia Shepard, Marlene Matzelle-O’Dea and Jeannette-Langdon Mirabella who work with Kiara.  In addition, the crew visited with Kiara and her mother, Monique at their home and in the family room at Telecare’s studio,  Kurt Murgo and Pat Quinn from ucpn also had the opportunity to participate in the program on the set at Telecare.

We encourage everyone to tune in to see all four parts of the series that include guests from the Alzheimer’s Foundation and the Arthritis Foundation.  We are grateful to Telecare and Vincent J. Russo for this opportunity to share this meaningful story and showcase the CLC and ucpn.
